Finding Patent Attorneys and Patent Agents

To find a patent attorney or patent agent, talk with other inventors and entrepreneurs for a recommendation. You can find patent attorneys in the Yellow Pages, Google search, or by searching the Patent Office website for registered patent attorneys in your area.

Talk to a number of attorneys and agents to find out if they have experience with your product type. Ask at what stage of the development process should you file a patent. I give them good marks if they say, "After you determine marketability."
