Live Invention Workshop

What everyday inventors like you need to know to license or sell inventions to companies

Product Coach Matthew Yubas
will show you the Methods to get paid for your Inventions

Thursday August 14, 2008 — Houston, Texas

Today, companies are looking for new product ideas to stay competitive. They're looking for:
 · Tools
· Housewares
· Kitchen gadgets
· Organizers
· Personal products
· Auto accessories
· Entertainment
· Sporting goods
· Home office solutions
· New innovations
With companies cutting back on staff, many are looking to the outside for new ideas. They are not looking for just any idea. Companies must be convinced an invention will become a money-making product.

You Should Be Rewarded for your Creativity

Do you have some great ideas but don't know how to get companies interested? If you have called companies and got rejected, you know it's no fun. Not only are you not getting recognition, you're not getting rewarded for your creativity and ingenuity. I know this can be frustrating.

Or, you're not taking any action, hoping for a big break. When I was younger I've had ideas in which I didn't take action. And when someone else brought their products to the market I was thinking, hey that's my idea. Yes I lost the opportunity, but at least I knew I was on the right track. What was missing was knowledge and the right steps to take.

Sharks are lurking for their next Victim

Maybe you've seen the websites, TV commercials, or radio spots for invention submission type companies saying how they will help you introduce your invention into the industry. I receive letters all the time from inventors telling me they lost $10,000 to $15,000.

Manufacturers tell me they receive these submission packages all the time, and then throw them straight into the trash. The submission company is off the hook because they said they would submit your ideas to the industry.

The first thing they do is get you to buy a market report for about $700. The report is a basic template with basic information - basically worthless. With the report in hand, they tell you that the market research indicates your idea has big potential.

They also try to hit you up for marketing programs such as videos and exhibiting your invention at tradeshows. The schemes go on and on, and so does your money, with nothing to show for it.

Know the Process to Make Money from Your Ideas

If you have an invention that you want to license or sell to a company there is a process that's easy to follow. With licensing you are essentially renting your invention for a time period in exchange for royalties. Or you can sell your invention for a lump sum or a payout over time.

In this hands-on workshop you'll see the step-by-step process:

How the process works from idea to getting paid
What royalties or lump-sum payout you can expect
Why guaranteed minimums are so important
The difference between exclusive and non-exclusive
How to get companies to pay for your patents
What advances you can get and what you should not ask for
How to prevent companies from stealing your ideas
How the patent process works to your advantage
What product features and benefits companies are looking for
What features make companies nervous about your invention
How companies will evaluate your invention
How to perform free market research to convince companies you have a great invention
How to contact companies without worrying about rejection
What to do once companies are interested

Don't Lose Your One Opportunity to Present Your Invention to Companies

Inventors tell me over and over how they were turned-down by companies. When I ask how they approached the companies, I think to myself, no wonder they were rejected, and explain what went wrong. Also inventors blindly send letters and packages to companies and never hear back.

The problem is that if you don't approach companies correctly, you just lost your opportunity. And perhaps your product idea was perfect for them.

Even Shy Inventors Can Get Companies Interested

Many inventors have a hard time calling companies. Part of the issue is a fear of rejection. The other part is not knowing what to say. In this workshop I'll show you a formula how to contact companies, who to ask for, what to say, and next steps to take.

With the techniques explained in this workshop, you'll be in a significantly greater position to contact companies with confidence. You'll have the process, you'll know how to have a conversation with them, and how to get them salivating over the prospect of licensing your product idea.

Free Evaluation of Your Idea (a $195 value)

Perhaps you are working full-time or running a business and you don't have time to prepare and contact companies. By attending this workshop you're indicating that you're serious about taking your invention to the next level.

As an incentive for taking this workshop with the Coaching Package I'll personally evaluate your invention to see if it's suitable for our program. If the idea has potential, we'll take you on as a client. But only marketable inventions will qualify.

Limited Small Class Size (less than 12 seats remain as of 7/25/08)

Because I prefer to provide personal attention, the class size will be small. In a close setting, you'll receive specific procedures, suggestions, recommendations, and answer your questions.
